El Puente Translation Services began its operations in Happy Camp, California in 1997 by a native Peruvian who was raised in Ecuador. Also, she graduated Cum Laude from Seattle University and earned a Translation Certificate from New York University.
In addition to training with leading interpreting companies, Maybel Weeks is certified as a HealthCare Interpreter by CCHI which is recognized by hospitals nationwide and by the State of Oregon.
The name ‘El Puente,’ which means ‘The Bridge’ symbolizes our mission: “To bridge two cultures and two worlds with unsurpassed efficiency, accuracy and care for the greatest good of the parties involved”
As a member of American Translators Association (ATA) and Northern California Translators Association (NCTA), El Puente Translation Services works with a team of experienced professional translators. We serve clients in Southern Oregon and Northern California on health care, video translation, insurance and other documentation into English or Spanish.
Maybel has been a reporter, Adjunct Spanish instructor, librarian, library board member, volunteer, Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner. She also loves beauty, gardens, playing the guitar and walking in the woods wherever her husband leads.
